Manu Yam has been playing competitive squash for the past 25 years, taking part in international tournaments, and was National Champion of the Philippines for 10 years.

He is a Level 2 certified coach and was also awarded ‘Coach of the year’ in 2008 from Squash Auckland. He was also awarded Coach of the year by Squash New Zealand in 2009. More recently Manu swept the Coaching Awards in 2015 by winning Coach of the Year In Auckland and Club and School Coach of the Year in New Zealand.
Manu enjoys developing young players, allowing them to successfully compete on a national level. He has extensive coaching experience of players at all levels and runs a successful programme at Belmont Park Racquets Club , Devonport Squash Club and has been assisting Squash Auckland in some of their junior, ladies and school programmes.
